Synopsis
This personal project emerged from my experimentation with the Kitbash kit, for which I was awarded for being among the Top 100 in the 2022 Moving Meditation competition. The resulting short film features iconic Hong Kong buildings and a unique take on an often-overlooked object: the humble chair. Through this project, I aimed to tap into a collective memory and a shared dream of breaking free from societal constraints.
The chair serves as a powerful symbol of conformity and routine, a fixture in our daily lives that is often taken for granted. By personifying it and placing it amidst familiar Hong Kong buildings, I sought to create a thought-provoking visual experience that challenges our preconceptions and encourages us to question the status quo.
